Challenge
We recently inspected and quoted a roof for a customer. During this inspection and consultation with the customer, we found that the roof was installed a few years ago and was having issues with shingles blowing off during high winds. We also went more in-depth to find multiple areas of hail damage throughout the entire roof. She had an adjuster out to just find one or two areas with damage but after our inspection, she was able to get the adjuster back out to find the remaining damage.
Solution
The solution we found was the nailing pattern of the previously installed shingles was the issue for her shingle loss in high winds. We also noticed the lines were uneven on the steep pitches which didn't allow the shingles to seal in its curing process. We removed the old shingles down to the decking sealed and taped all joints, added ice and water shield, applied synthetic underlayment, and installed the leading top-of-the-line IKO IR Dynasty Shingles. The customer was beyond grateful and happy with the top-notch service Clark's Roofing and Gutters provided. She said, " The Proof Is Definitely In The Roof"!!!
